Welcome to Missouri!

Russ's parents have officially made the move from Nebraska to Missouri. We are so excited to have them here! Congratulations on your new home, Curt and Dianna, and welcome to Missouri!

Snowy tea party

This is our view from the back of our house today - snow, snow and more snow!
Payton sharing her tea with Dora.

The snow started somewhere around 3:00 a.m. (or so the weather man has reported) and did not stop until 1:30 p.m. It is hard to believe that just a few days ago we were playing outside without a coat! Ah, the midwest!
The thought of bundling Payton (and myself) up to play in the snow did enter my mind, for a short second, until I realized that it would be a perfect time to open the tea set that Grandma and Grandpa McDaniels had given Payton. I made the mistake of showing her the box BEFORE eating lunch, so she really had no interest in eating (although she did manage to take a few bites here and there). So, while it snowed and snowed, Payton enjoyed pretending to pour and sip "water"!! And what better way to enjoy the tea, than in her pajamas!! Happy Saturday!

February fun

Payton and Olivia destroying the toy room (and running all over Grandma)!
Papa helping put Payton's gloves on.

Aunt Megan and Olivia playing.

February was our month to host the monthly Boddicker family dinner. We always enjoy getting together with family; it seems as though time doesn't always allow these gathering as often as we would like. Olivia and Payton played well together - minus a few collisions here and there! We look forward to the next gathering!

I heart you!

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day!

Play dates

Payton and Ady
Ady being a nice friend and pushing Payton.

Big girl Stella, standing up!

Payton showing Stella how it's done!

Last week, Payton enjoyed a play date with her friends Stella and Ady. They enjoyed pushing each other around on Payton's horse and talking to each other. Among all the fun, I learned that Payton had acquired the word, "mine" somewhere as she was using it quite freely......already, seriously?? Let the terrible two's begin!!

Stairs

Down, down, down
She made it!

Payton has mastered going down the stairs on her belly! She just needs a little help at the top to get turned around and in the right beginning position. She amazes us everyday!

Forgive me - proud parent moment

You get the point...

Snack time and more Dora

Payton has deemed the rug in front of the refrigerator as her place to eat snack! I have never once prompted this, in fact, I would prefer her not, but it is too funny to stop her. Each time I say "snack", she automatically sits on the rug:) Too cute!
Payton has also warmed up to the new Dora doll. Hugs and kisses are given freely now and she is fascinated by taking the shoes on and off for Dora - I'm just wondering how long it will take for us to misplace the shoes!

Warm, windy day in January

We enjoyed a day of playing outside yesterday. It was quite windy, but we'll take anytime we can be outside!!
