Round 2 of #2!

This was birthday celebration #2 for Kale's 2nd birthday!  Lucky kid, huh?  He's the true definition of boy these days.  He never slows down and is always up to something!  He recently had a speech evaluation prompted by concerns noted at his 2 year pediatrician check-up.  No surprise to us, he qualified and will start speech therapy at the end of this month.  He will go twice per week for a 1/2 hour each session.  I pray that the therapist can sustain enough energy for those sessions with him!  He will certainly give her a run for her money - no pun intended! 

Seems like

Seems like I've been absent from the blog for quite some time.  I do check in every now and then to see if those blogs I've saved have been updated and realizing that I should too.  I wish I had a great excuse, but I don't!  Just seems like life has been busier that usual this past month and I look forward to the quickly approaching summer!  There are many reasons why I went into teaching, but let's be honest - getting the summers off is a great benefit of which I will gladly partake in!  I look forward to lazy days of playing in the sun and water with the kids, and the busy days of exploring parts of Kansas City that we haven't discovered yet.  So, the countdown is on!  Three more weeks and we'll be kicking our feet up (and maybe some adult beverages here and there) and soaking up time with our little ones who seem to grow at the blink of an eye.  Cheers!
