Kale meeting his cousins Maya and Ella for the first time.

Catching some flies - we wore him out!
This past weekend we decided to pack up and travel to the Litchfield's new home in Bettendorf, Iowa. The trip, without making any stops, would normally take about 5 hours. However, when you factor in a toddler and a newborn the trip took about 7 hours each way. Regardless of the time it took to get there and back, the Litchfield's made sure we felt right at home; great meals and great fun! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
However, we did encounter one "stump in the road"......white grape juice! What, you may say? Yes, white grape juice. Friday night we went out to eat at a wonderful Mexican restaurant where we all indulged in some great tasting guacamole - especially Payton (she is her father's daughter when it comes to Mexican food - she'll try it all)! Long story short, Payton ended up getting sick Friday night (twice if you must know) and we simply blamed it on the mass consumption of guacamole at the restaurant because she was fine the rest of the night and all of Saturday. Joke was on us though because 1/2 hour into our trip home to Kansas City it happened again.....in...the....car..... We held it together and cleaned up the mess (after all, we still had 6 1/2 hours to go) but decided that the culprit was the white grape juice that she had drank both Friday night and early Sunday morning before our departure. So, needless to say, we won't be putting white grape juice on our grocery list any time soon!
